After a Botox® or Dysport® treatment, it's important to take proper care of your skin to ensure that you get the most out of it. Here are some instructions for caring for your skin after treatment:

Follow post-treatment instructions: Listen carefully to the instructions provided by your healthcare provider. They will give you specific guidelines based on your individual needs. Follow these instructions closely to ensure proper care.

Avoid touching the treated area: After a Botox® or Dysport® injection treatment, it's important to avoid touching the treated area as much as possible for at least 24 hours. This will help to reduce the risk of infection, avoid moving the product into unintended areas (such as adjacent muscles which can cause unwanted results) and ensure that the treatment results settle in properly.

Avoid strenuous exercise: Strenuous exercise should be avoided for the first 24 hours after treatment, as this can increase blood flow and potentially cause the Botox® or Dysport® to move to unintended areas.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms: Similarly, it's best to avoid hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for the first 24 hours after treatment, as the heat can also cause the Botox® or Dysport® to move to unintended areas.

Don't apply makeup: Avoid applying makeup for at least 4 hours after treatment and be gentle when washing your face. It's best to use a mild cleanser and pat your face dry with a soft towel. This reduces the risk of infection and avoids moving the Botox® or Dysport® into unintended areas.

Sleep on your back: To ensure that the Botox® or Dysport® injections settle in properly, it's best to sleep on your back for the first night after treatment. This will help to avoid any accidental pressure on the treated area.

Avoid alcohol: Alcohol can increase swelling and bruising, so it's best to avoid drinking alcohol for at least 24 hours after treatment.

Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water will help to keep your skin hydrated and healthy and will also help to flush out any toxins.

Use sun protection: Always use sun protection when going outside, as sun exposure can damage your skin and undo the benefits of your Botox® or Dysport® injections treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen and reapply every 2 hours if you're outside for an extended period.

Follow up with your LCA Injector: Schedule any recommended follow-up appointments with your injector to monitor your progress and ensure proper healing. They can address any concerns or questions you may have.

After a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment, it's important to take proper care of your skin to ensure that you get the most out of your treatment and maintain a healthy, youthful appearance. Here are some instructions for caring for your skin after a PRP treatment:

Follow post-treatment instructions: Listen carefully to the instructions provided by your healthcare provider. They will give you specific guidelines based on your individual needs. Follow these instructions closely to ensure proper care.

Avoid touching the treated area: After a PRP treatment, it's important to avoid touching the treated area as much as possible for at least 24 hours. This will help to reduce the risk of infection and ensure that the PRP settles in properly.

Avoid strenuous exercise: Strenuous exercise should be avoided for the first 24 hours after treatment, as this can increase blood flow and will increase swelling and bruising to the area.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms: Similarly, it's best to avoid hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for the first 24 hours after treatment, as the heat can also cause swelling and bruising.

Don't apply makeup: Avoid applying makeup for at least 4 hours after treatment and be gentle when washing your face. It's best to use a mild cleanser and pat your face dry with a soft towel.

Avoid alcohol: Alcohol can increase swelling and bruising, so it's best to avoid drinking alcohol for at least 24 hours after treatment.

Apply ice packs: Applying ice packs to the treated area for the first 24 hours can help to reduce swelling and bruising.

Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water will help to keep your skin hydrated and healthy and will also help to flush out any toxins.

Use sun protection: Always use sun protection when going outside, as sun exposure can damage your skin and undo the benefits of your PRP treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen and reapply every 2 hours if you're outside for an extended period.

Follow up with your LCA Cosmetic Registered Nurse/Doctor: Schedule any recommended follow-up appointments with your Cosmetic Registered Nurse/Doctor to monitor your progress and ensure proper healing. They can address any concerns or questions you may have.

If you experience any side effects or symptoms of concern, please contact Laser Clinics Australia in the following format:
