Mikarla Nash

My name is Mikarla and I am Cosmetic Injector at LCA Townsville and The Willows. I have been in the beauty indusry for nearly 10years and have been a practicing cosmetic nurse for 3 years. I believe everyone should feel confident in their own skin and strive to provide my patients with natural, enhaced results.  After completing my Dip. of Beauty Therapy, I found my passion for helping people with their skin concerns and decided I wanted to do more. I went back to university to study my Dip. Higher Education and into my B. Nursing Sciences. After completing my first year of nursing, my personal life took me to Darwin, NT, where I began working at LCA there. I put my nursing off for a year while I perfected how to perform all the skin and laser treatments that LCA had to offer. While I was working alongside the injector, I found myself wanting more and more to do cosmetic injectables. So I moved back to Townsville to finish my degree full time. I took 2 years off from the beauty industry but returned in 2020 once I completed my nursing degree. I have since completed a Grad Dip of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables through GrayClay to further develop my skills. Since completing my study I have had the pleasure of working for multiple companies within the industry, learning and growing from each position, coming full circle and back at LCA as an injector. I also work as a medical and women's health nurse at the Mater Private Hospital 2 days a week. I enjoy the balance this gives me and the ability to maintain my clinical skills. In my spare time I enjoy camping, fishing, spending time with my family and friends and just relaxing on the couch with a good book.
