In 2015 I started my career as a registered nurse, and after completing my degree, I worked in the busy Bunbury Hospital in both medical and surgical nursing roles. It was here that I realised I loved working with people and developed a passion for ensuring patients received a high standard of care. After a few years I moved into primary healthcare and worked within a busy general practice. I loved that this type of nursing focused on the prevention and management of chronic diseases, which empowered people with the tools proactively and independently manage their own healthcare needs.
Throughout life I always had a keen interest in beauty, but loved medicine so studying a diploma in cosmetic nursing made perfect sense to me to incorporate a little bit of both. My passion has always been to help people feel and look their best, and my most favourite aspect of aesthetic nursing is when the client tells me how the treatments I performed elevated their self confidence.
