Pigmentation Removal

About Pigmentation Removal

Pigmentation is skin discoloration, that appear as blotchy, brownish marks on the face and body. It is especially common in women aged 30 to 50. Exposure to the sun is the major cause of pigmentation becoming more noticeable, but can also be made worse by reactions to toiletries and various cosmetics. It reminds us of how sensitive our skin can be.

A consultation can help you identify your specific type of lesion and discuss the removal success rate associated with it. The good news is that more than half of all common pigmented lesions are removed with just one treatment.  Some require additional treatments – it can depend on your skin type.

Side effects are minor and complications rare. Most commonly crusting of the treated pigment takes place and the area can be more sensitive to sun exposure. But with proper sunsafe precautions, these effects will have minimal impact.

The good news is that treated pigmented lesions do not reappear. With the only noteable exception being some birthmarks, which can reappear after several months or a year. But they can be treated again.

It’s important to keep in mind that you can only find the best treatment for you by speaking with one of our trained consultants. Call us or drop in to find the best solution for you.
